Trending Politics-
In a gloriously ironic twist of fate, Vivek Ramaswamy will soon take a major seat on the governing board for one of the most fervent anti-Trump online news publications in recent memory.
The National Pulse reported that Ramaswamy, fresh off his presidential campaign, has purchased a 7.7% stake in Buzzfeed, the outlet known for first running with the Trump-Russia hoax story in 2016 and shuttering its newsroom amid a plunge in online advertising revenue across the industry. Once fueled by intrepid national journalists like Ben Smith, Buzzfeed is now at the mercy of Ramaswamy and corporations like Comcast and Hearst Communications which also lead its financing and have lost significant sums during the outlet’s downturn. more
Takeover? Per National Pulse it’s valued at about $90M. Perhaps he will turn it into a conservative Newsweek, or something like that.
I don’t know. He has always seemed to be a little slimy worm pretending to be something he is not.
I’ll be glad to be proved wrong, but as someone once famously said; Trust but Verify.
And this is the person that others were touting as PDJT’s VP pick?
At first blush, this looks bad for his brand; but Let’s see if he might have the “Musk” touch.
The jury’s still out on this cat, but I like what he says!
The “Musk” touch was my first thought too.
The New Buzzfeed: While we acknowledge that the Orange Man is very, very bad; perhaps the worst part of PotUSvsg is the sink on his foot from stepping in a steaming pile of Hillary back in 2016.
I think Trump could use Vivek well, in a spokesman or advisory capacity.
In other words, a role he can be quickly removed from if he misbehaves. Probably true of a few others as well.
He sometimes reminds me of that one black (kenyan) guy, that could smile, look you in the eye, and lie his MFing ass off.
