‘Conservative answer’ to Facebook launches

WND: Describing itself as the “answer to Facebook and Twitter censoring Christians, conservatives and liberty,” a new social-media platform called USA.Life will officially launch Wednesday.

Founder and CEO Steven Andrew said he decided to use his Silicon Valley tech leadership experience to launch the project after he saw Facebook block millions of people from getting his posts.

Andrew believes Facebook lied to Congress about being “a platform for all ideas,” since they restrict President Trump supporters, Christians and conservatives.

“Facebook blocks 99 percent of my reach, which means 5 million people are missing per month from my account alone,” he said.

Andrew has led multi-million dollar initiatives for Cisco, Better Homes and Gardens, Sega and Stanford.

USA.Life is necessary, he said, because “censorship affects elections, people’s lives and relationships.”

Users can share photos, updates, news, videos and messages, and join groups.

“People can connect with those most important to them, too,” he said.

Andrew set up a crowdfunding page to launch the project, saying USA.Life is for all who love America.

“We don’t have the billions of dollars Facebook, Google and Twitter have, so we need people who want freedom and privacy to contribute what they can,” he said.

  1. I signed up last week. So far, so good. I was never a big FB user anyway, so I probably won’t be a big USA.Life user but it’s nice to have an alternative and it is definitely an improvement over FB! If you want to connect I’m Abigail Adams

  2. I don’t use social media and consider it a liability for those that do rather than an asset.

Would someone who does use social media explain what is to be gained from using them that is not more than offset by what is to be lost?

For that matter, what is to be gained from using them, period.

  3. Anonymous — It’s a simple way to share photos with family members who think it’s too difficult to log onto my Plex server.

My mom, God love her, was convinced her entire Netflix account went away when the Netflix channel on the Nintendo Wii went away.

Why was my 70 year old mother using a Nintendo Wii to access Netflix? Again, you figure out what’s easy for them and roll with what works.

  4. The primary reason I got a USA.Life account is to show my support for Andrew who stuck his neck out (and should get a Giraffe Award) and put himself on the line to provide an alternative to something conservatives have been opposed to for a long time. Whenever someone answers the call to make it easier for conservatives to use a social platform for sharing their opinions, news and activism without being banned. I hope USA.Life grows legs and runs FB into the ground.

  5. To be in touch with lots of your friends, the things would have to appeal to a lot of your friends. FB is such a mess to use in general that there is a huge market hole for a competitor to arise. But by appealing to just one segment, USA.Life fails the basic concept.
