Armstrong Economics: The Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the two most active ports in the US, will resume container dwelling fees as of today. The moratorium went into effect on October 25 as the California ports became a crowded parking lot for cargo ships. Port officials claim that this move has created a 41% decline in aging cargo on the docks. more here

Now way in our time-math continuum for a 41% decrease in just one day of taxing people because their work was originally interrupted by government; the same twerps that levels the taxes.

I am in Savannah Ga right now. The port here is running full speed 24/7 loading rail cars and trailers. The port approved truckers are pulling into the yard, checking in for empty trailer drop location, loaded trailer pickup location, and then getting it all confirmed at a stop just before they leave the yard. A very efficient operation.
