  1. We had a cat as a kid that we would always find in the tub when it got really hot in the summer. Guess that cat was smart as the cast iron always stayed cooler.
    Good stuff as usual Claudia.

  2. It’s a glorious morning in the Appalachian Mountains today! Calm winds, blue skies and pleasant temps. The chatter of birds in the trees is barely audible and an occasional neighborhood dog barking. Otherwise, a very quiet Sunday.

Love that lil’ Chi getting toweled off!

  3. It’s that time for my little beast too. She has a vet visit in the morning for her checkup. She does not appreciate a bath. Seems you should be able to hold on to a 6 lb dog but not this thing. It’s like trying to sharpen a chainsaw at full throttle.

  4. Ha! Kinda ironic…I just came in after dumping/refilling the water in our goose’s pool. He kept giving me the stink eye because I wouldn’t let him in it while I was cleaning it with the pole brush.

  5. Apes in the plaza pool and geese in the pond! This morning it was a huge Canadian goose couple and their seven gooslets (goslings?) strutting around the neighborhood with the dad doing his ‘don’t mess with me!’ head bob routine. I bobbed back at him and he seemed to like that. I walked back in the house and started bobbing at my grand kids and they seemed to understand, also. 🙂

  7. @Diff Tim

We had a cat once who would curl around the bottom of the toilet in hot weather. Very cool there with the cool water in the bowl.

It’s kinda like when in hot weather you see a whole bunch of cows laying in the shade of a tree.

Love the critter pics – makes my day every Sunday.

  8. You’re welcome, Miss Claudia.
My brother drove in Sunday morning so I haven’t been on the computer.
Sorry to be late. Always love the “Critters!”
    Thanks!
