Does God Exist?

  1. EVERYTHING is the divine. How could it be otherwise? We are all just incarnations of the divine as a result of our own deluded self-contraction that keeps us from complete realization of our inherently divine nature.

  2. Does electricity exist?

You’ve never SEEN it. NO ONE has. You can’t touch it, smell it, taste it, or hear it either. Oh, you may be able to sense it from what it DOES, when it arcs through the air, hums in a line, or lights your way, but electricity ITSELF?

No, you can’t “see” it at ALL.

    So does electricity exist?

    …so it is with God.

He is beyond your senses, but the fact you HAVE senses proves He exists. You can see the effects of Him all around you, from the celestial mechanics of the Solar System to the insane complexity of your own circulatory system, feel His love in those He gifts you with along the way, hear the very air sing His praises as rain and sun work together to grow your sustinance…but none but His only Son are worthy to actually look upon Him.

Does that mean He doesn’t exists?

If you can’t see Him in His works, feel Him in your soul, hear Him in His Word, touch Him in the love of His creations, taste Him in the dizzying variety of good things He gives us to eat, smell Him in a rain-scented breeze, it does not follow that HE is dead.

But you should see if its well with your soul, because maybe YOU are.

    God Bless,

  3. Yes! But, nothing has changed with regard to mankind continually falling away from His Truth, and doing what is good in their own sight. There are many verses which describe how this has NOT worked out very well for us and continues even until today.

The ‘church’ is a man made construct, originating as a sect of rabbinic judaism, and going off the rails (The Falling Away) after the First Century. This message likely will fall on deaf ears, blind eyes and dull minds (Isaiah 6:9-10, Matt 13:15, Acts 28:25-27, Heb 5:11), yet it must be put forth and may YHWH use it to bring forth fruit.

The Messiah King of Israel Himself tells us to Hear and Obey (Sh’mah) Moses (Torah), but, do NOT do the man made ‘rabbinic statutes’, because Judah (like Ephraim) puts their own way above The Way.

Matt 23:1 Then spake Yahushua to the multitude, and to his disciples,
2 Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat:
3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.
4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

Acts 28:22 But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.
23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of יהוה, persuading them concerning Yahushua, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

There is no understanding of the Apostolic letters without knowing, understanding The Holy Scriptures. The Hebrew Scriptures (TaNaKh – Torah, Nevim and Ketuvim) were the ONLY SCRIPTURES referenced, until the 3rd Century A.D. At no time do any of the Apostles quote or reference each other, only indirectly, as the apostolic letters are comprised of (just) over 50% from the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible). In summary, ‘gentile believer’ is an oxymoron. There is no such thing. You are either grafted into the Whole House of Israel or you are a heathen/gentile.

John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.
47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

These seducers who deceive and bring in ‘damnable heresies’ (II Peter 2), ie christianity, rabbinic judaism and islam, which covers about half the population of the planet, these are the MANY and definitely NOT the ‘few who find the narrow path’ (Matt 7:14).

II Tim 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
    14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Yahushua the Messiah.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of יהוה, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of יהוה may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Be not deluded into trusting your own understanding, the plain and simple meaning of the Word cannot and will not contradict the deeper meanings, and vice versa.

When our anointed King Yahshua COMMANDS us to hear and obey Moses, He means it literally.
When He stated that the Torah cannot be diminished in the slightest, He means it literally.
He tells us it will stand (in physical creation) until the Heavens and the Earth are renewed. He means it literally.
When He tells us that He cannot do ANYTHING which our Eternal and Unchanging Father in Heaven has not given Him to Do or Say (Deut 13), He means it literally.

There is no bumper sticker, swiss cheese or participation trophy theology which can contradict the simple and straight forward message which we have heard since the beginning, in paraphrased summary, Trust that I am all that I have said that I am, that I Will do all that I have said I Will do and Obey Me. IOW, love, honor, cherish and obey – YOUR ‘I do’ to the marriage covenant, whether the first or Renewed covenant, the stipulations do not change, just as the Creator Who offers the covenant.

  4. Atheists always made me laugh (and pity at the same time). Atheism can’t be proven – EVER. While the existence of God can’t be “proven” per se, there is some evidence of God’s existence. Atheists? They’re broken inside.

  5. After getting into a very unpleasant discussion years ago with a former in-law, a raised Muslim and later embraced a variety of religions before settling on Buddhism, I no longer answer this question without first asking “Whose ‘God’; please define what you mean by the word”.

Words are different in different languages, and apparently ours is undergoing cynical redefinitions right within it. (What’s a “woman”.) If a word can have any definition you want it to have, then it means nothing.

  6. Yes, God does exist, and I am one of the living proofs of his existence (as we all are) since I was first saved way back in Sept. 1972 when I was 19. If it weren’t for God’s existence neither I nor my family and now my grandchildren would be alive. I have faith that even though I can’t see God that he is alive in me and for that I am eternally thankful.

Now it is such a bizarrely improbable coincidence that anything so mind-bogglingly useful could have evolved purely by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as the final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God.
The argument goes something like this: “I refuse to prove that I exist,'” says God, “for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.”
“But,” says Man, “The Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn’t it? It could not have evolved by chance. It proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don’t. QED.”
“Oh dear,” says God, “I hadn’t thought of that,” and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.
“Oh, that was easy,” says Man, and for an encore goes on to prove that black is white and gets himself killed on the next zebra crossing.”
-Douglas Adams, “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”

  9. It’s not a matter of opinion. There is proof that God exists. His name is Jesus of Nazareth and he healed the leper and the lame; he gave sight to the blind and turned water into wine — and he walked on the water. He raised the dead. He said he was returning to the Father and then he did, leaving the tomb empty. He overcame death and gave us the same miracle.

The Bible isn’t a fairy tale, it’s recorded history. If you’re still skeptical start by reading the Bible, then dive into the history of the Bible — who wrote the books. Approach the study like an archeologist and learn about the ancient manuscripts and where they came from. Look at the archeological proofs of Biblical history. Look at the recent discoveries regarding the shroud of Turin. Scientists cannot replicate the image and their only plausible theories are about split second exposure to light that equals ALL the energy available on earth. Read up on current and breath-taking finds of Biblical artifacts which corroborate Biblical accounts. There’s more history known about key figures in the Bible, including Christ Jesus, than many Roman Emperors.

Someone upthread said it take more faith to be an atheist. Atheism and Darwin’s theory of evolution are officially debunked by most scientists who study these things when they compare them to how perfectly God fits their hypotheses. And these scientists are not considered lunatic fringe. Look up James Tour (chemist, nanotechnologist, professor of Materials Science, Nanoengineering, Computer Science at Rice U.). Look up Dr. John Lennox (professor of Math at Oxford). Just two world-renown thinkers whose studies lead them to God.

When you’re done with all that, look up the Mendlebrot set. It will blow what is left of your mind.

The question “Does God exist?” only makes sense if you ever question whether your own heart is beating at any given time.

  10. Yesterday, I was standing next to one of our hummingbird feeders. One of the little guys flew right in front of my face and hovered there looking at me. I held out my hand and he landed on it, and we just continued to look at each other. Just another reminder that God exists.
