Florida Sentinel Publishes Exhaustive Parkland Report: Sheriff’s Office ‘Cost Children Their Lives’

DC:

Authorities and school officials either failed to act or were unclear about procedures when confronting the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter Feb. 14, 911 logs, surveillance videos and interviews show.

The South Florida Sun Sentinel released a minute-by-minute rundown of the Parkland, Florida, shooting in “Unprepared and Overwhelmed.” The Sentinel acknowledged many teachers and police officers were “heroic,” but Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) and the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) were hesitant and disorganized as a whole.

The shooting left 17 people dead.

“A gunman with an AR-15 fired the bullets, but a series of blunder, bad policies, sketchy training and poor leadership helped him succeed,” the Sentinel wrote.   MORE

  1. Nobody in govt has a duty to protect anybody other than themselves. We each individually have the responsibility to protect ourselves, and our loved ones, and where and when appropriate, innocent others.

Details about this mass murder are terrible but not surprising.

  2. So they’re just now finally getting around to what we all knew, all along, right from the git-go!
Way to cover yer incompetent, worthless, Leftist, Politically Correct, asses who will gladly stand on the bodies of young, innocent victims just to hang on to yer lousy jobs of milking the public tit!

You forgot COWARDS. As a CCP, if I’m there, I’m going in. Wouldn’t even need to think about it. But oh wait. I can’t be there. It’s a gun free zone.

  4. Hard to decide who was worse, the gutless deputy who froze in place for 48 minutes, or the gutless “monitor” who hid in the closet. I blame this on the feminization of American men.
