National Pulse– Governments must invest in “geoengineering” – deliberate schemes to toy with Earth’s climate – according to an essay in the New York Times. A rise in greenhouse-gas emissions, despite America’s cutting down of its coal use, means a narrow focus on reducing emissions is destined to fail, claim the three authors of the essay: a former director at MIT, a retired NASA scientist and an oceanographer.
The authors advocate seeding the oceans with iron dust to encourage the growth of enormous algal blooms, which would convert large amounts of carbon dioxide to organic forms of carbon that would then be sequestered in the watery depths. They also suggest iron dust has dramatic potential to alter the earth’s climate, and may have played an important natural role in doing so in the past. more

Recipe for so called geo-engineers:
(1) One quart low temperature (105F) thermoplastic
(2) One cup coarsely crushed quartz rocks
Heat the thermoplastic in a bucket to manufacturer’s recommended temperature.
Add quartz and mix thoroughly while still hot.

I’m 70 and the ecoweenies have been 100% wrong every time about globull warming and so-called climate change since the first erf day in 1970. Their track record at predicting global ecological disaster is as bad or worse as all the left behind wacko’s predicting the rapture. Today is the first day of Autumn, Summer’s over and it’s 58 degrees and cloudy outside today which is perfect after being so damn hot in August. Nothing new, it’s the changing of the seasons and not globull warming or globull cooling or globalbaloney. Winter will be here soon enough just like it is every year.
