Jewish Pro-2A Org Tweeted Out Video Supporting Armed Security In Synagogues Day Before Pittsburgh Shooting

Daily Caller: Just one day before the fatal shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in the Squirrel Hill area of Pittsburgh on Saturday that resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries, the Jewish pro-Second Amendment organization, Jews For The Preservation of Firearms Ownership, tweeted out a cautionary video about the necessity of armed security teams at houses of worship.

The video, produced by U.S. Concealed Carry Association, starts with a Kevin McCloskey from USCCA Magazine, saying, “Let’s not wait for the next headline. I want you to start thinking about protecting houses of worship right now.”

He goes on to say, “People attack houses of worship with great regularity and most often no one knows what to do. No one is prepared.”

The JPFO has long supported armed guards inside of houses of worship.

In 2013, an article on the site discussed a rabbi in Queens, NY who began a program to help make synagogues safer by teaching martial as well as using a firearm to protect worshippers.

President Donald Trump told reporters at Joint Andrews Air Force Base following the shooting that if armed guards were inside to protect service attendees the outcome would have been different.  more here

  1. It’s hard to say this without seeming to fail to recognize the horrible nature of this tragic attack, but I’ll try. If anything good can come from the Squirrel Hill synagogue mass murder, maybe it will be a realization among anti-gun liberal Jews that there is a proper and moral place for the use of firearms for defending themselves, their families, and their fellow Jews from vile beasts such as the Pennsylvania killer.

JPFO is a very good organization (I’ve been a life member for many years, even though I’m not a Jew.)

  2. Every Jew should be armed.
One in five (guesstimate) should carry.

Back during the Holocaust, if every Jew had just killed (or seriously wounded) one German (Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, and/or Ukrainian Soldier/Sonderkommando) the whole situation would have been different.

Seems like a pretty simple lesson.

  3. People want mental health checks on gun owners. OK. Right after the same thing is done to universities’ pundits. I place the majority of the blame for our nation’s social division on them.
