Justin Amash Has Harsh Words for Senate Democrats Following Gun Control Vote

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) didn’t hold back on Twitter about the Senate Democrats who voted in favor of the (failed) gun control amendments in the Senate on Monday. Amash, who is chairman of the House Liberty Caucus, slammed the senators for essentially ignoring due process rights.

Twitter1Amash is correct. The terror watch list and the no-fly list are not things that should be used to strip American citizens of their constitutional rights.

*snip*

Justin received a tweet stating: “so i assume you will be introducing a bill to scrap the no-fly list, yes?”

His response: “Already introduced” https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/5179

  1. Meanwhile back in w Texas, Rep. Mike Conaway TX-11(me), spewed this horseshit, “Today, the House of Representatives passed H.R. 3442, the Debt Management and Fiscal Responsibility Act. This legislation establishes a new debt limit framework that enhances accountability, reduces disruptive risk, and incorporates debt reduction solutions. Congressman Mike Conaway (TX-11) released the following statement of support upon passage:

“Just like in a household, it is irresponsible as a nation to just sit back and take on debt without a plan to tackle the debt you’ve already accumulated. Our growing national debt poses the threat of uncertainty to our country, and this legislation clearly outlines a new debt limit framework to ensure that the debt limit is not increased overnight just because the President asks for it. President Obama’s current approach to our national debt is to just spend and watch it grow, without an ounce of accountability.

“As we pass this legislation today, I also call upon my colleagues to rein in unnecessary federal spending. Our national debt is currently $19 trillion and rising, and wasteful spending will only increase that number. As we begin the appropriations process, Congress needs to reevaluate its priorities and act responsibly in the best interest of our children, our grandchildren, and all the generations that will come after.”

But wait, he voted for the last Omnibus Bill which among other things fully funded ObamaCare and Obama/Jarrett’s unConstitutional dreamer bullshit.

Oh wait again, he voted to increase the debt limit last time too.

With big oil & ag behind him, you couldn’t dynamite him out of his office.

Congress is a fucking joke-it’s a Klown Kar constantly heading for a cliff. The Representatives that are actually doing their jobs could fit in a phone booth.

  2. Democrats insist that women who claim rape MUST BE BELIEVED and that individuals who “identify” as other things MUST BE BELIEVED AND ACCOMMODATED but Loretta Lynch claims we should ignore what Omar Mateen said to the 911 operator and that “We may never know why that Islamic terrorist killed all those people.”

  3. MM, I know how you feel. My Senators are rubber stamps for Obama (Al Franken and Amy Klobuchar *spit*). Even my R representative (Erik Paulsen) gets an F from Conservative Review.

Justin Amash gets an A (96%) from CR. Most of my family lives in his district. Lucky them. I plan to move there next year.

  4. OMG Claudia, you live in Minniesodastan?
I quit working in that state a decade ago, nothing bunch of washed up Maoists running the place.
(When employers have asked me if I speak a foreign language, I say “You Bet, I speak Minnesotan!”)

  5. Yeah, Burner. I’ve become so sick of it here. I’ve been planning my escape for years. The voter fraud that put Al Franken in congress was the last straw. Minnesota is one weird state all because of the Twin Cities.

  6. Claudia, it is not just the Twin Cities. I spent many years north of the Twin Cities and they are stupidly liberal there as well. I can’t believe the mentality of my old friends and family. I hope Michigan is better for you. Eastern Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Northern California, if I make another move those are good targets as far as I am concerned. Texas would be a good choice if it wasn’t so darn hot.

  7. joe6pak, I do know a few “outstate” Minnesotans that are liberal. I just didn’t know how many there were but I think you must be correct. It’s an infection.

  8. These Dems are the gun problem. They represent every ghetto in the USA. They make excuses for bad behavior of the people they represent and blame it on the NRA. They pick the prosecutors who let repeat felons plea deal to probation.

  9. Hell joe6pak it was only 103 today here in w Texas-of course when you’re MELTING glass in your studio, it seems a wee bit warmer. My asscrack feels like a sluice sometimes standing over that furnace.
