Maine Gas Distributor Won’t Deliver to Trump Supporters

LZ:  An owner of a propane dealership in Maine is refusing to deliver gas to anyone who voted for President-elect Donald Trump.

Michael Turner, owner of Turner LP Gas in Skowhegan, Maine, recorded a voice mail greeting that leaves little question as to his feelings for those in his community who supported Trump.

“Thank you for calling Turner LP gas. If you voted for Donald Trump for president I will no longer be delivering your gas — please find someone else,” the message states.

Mr. Turner isn’t the first person to refuse to do business with Trump voters — in late November, Mathew Blanchfield, CEO of an Albuquerque, New Mexico-based marketing firm, issued a statement saying he would no longer work with Trump supporters.

But unlike Mr. Blanchfield who lives in a county that voted solidly for Hillary Clinton, Mr. Turner lives in a county that overwhelmingly supported Trump. MORE

  1. The point to be made is regarding loss of property via broken/frozen pipes or worse, loss of life. It was -85 degrees on Mt. Washington – trust me when I say -25 can hurt ya – or, as one Vermont lad puts it, “Colder than a well-diggers ass”

  2. And yet these asshole liberals will FORCE someone to bake a lesbian cake or FORCE a Catholic hospital to perform abortions. Otherwise they face shutdowns, bankruptcy, lawsuits.

    Totalitarians of the first order.

  3. There are lots of other propane and kerosene dealers. Believe me, in a state where it gets cold he isn’t the only game in town. Instead of suing like the libidiots, Trump voters will just do business with someone else.

  4. Unlike Hillary, Mr. Trump wants to lower this guy’s taxes and to lower the price of the energy source he delivers. Both things will benefit him and his customers. What a moron.

  5. The Book of Revelation mentions that you will not be able to do business without the “Mark of the Beast.”

Mr. Turner may be jumping the gun, somewhat.

  6. I agree with Billy – his house – his rules.
EVERY proprietor should have the “right” to refuse service to anyone – with or without cause.

But would Mr. Turner get a pass from the local DA if he refused service to – say – anyone who had voted for a negro? Or anyone who had voted for a non-Christian?

  7. What’s the difference between refusing to bake a cake for a queer wedding and refusing to deliver gas to a Trumper? Listen, Mainers, put this unpleasant snowflake out of business. Buy elsewhere. He isn’t the only nozzle on the pump.

  8. @Tim – there are certain ‘classes’ of people who qualify. Of course we have to identify them to keep them in their place give them those special rights.

Title II of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 should properly be deemed unconstitutional, an infringement on the First Amendment.

  9. “How does he know who someone voted for? ”

He doesn’t but now we know who he voted for. Now it’s not that he will not sell to Trump voters , but Trump voters will not buy from him.
