The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a school-based threat in Lutz.
On Sunday, May 29, 2022, detectives received a tip, and through investigative means discovered that Corey Anderson, 18, posted images of himself with what appeared to be a handgun, a rifle, and a tactical style vest.
The photo was distributed with the caption “Hey Siri, directions to the nearest school.”
After further investigation, detectives determined the handgun and rifle were “airsoft guns.”
“This type of threat is unacceptable. This man intentionally instilled fear into our community as a sick joke, but be warned, this is no laughing matter,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “We will do everything within our power to apprehend, and pursue charges on those who make school-based threats. Protecting students is our greatest priority. We take school threats very seriously, if you see something suspicious, please contact us immediately.”

WearTV – A 10-year-old Florida student was arrested Saturday for allegedly making a threat of a mass shooting.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook that Daniel Issac Marquez is charged with Making a Written Threat to Conduct a Mass Shooting.
“This student’s behavior is sickening, especially after the recent tragedy in Uvalde, Texas,” Sheriff Carmine Marceno says in a statement. “Making sure our children are safe is paramount. We will have law and order in our schools! My team didn’t hesitate one secondNOT ONE SECOND, to investigate this threat.”
The sheriff’s office says it learned on Saturday “of a threatening text message sent by a fifth grade student at Patriot Elementary School in Cape Coral.”

Yes, while in the investigative process we will be relentless in our pursuit of evildoers. But rest assured, once that bad guy gains access to any school and the shooting starts, we will all cower outside behind the tallest bushes available and stare at each other, paralyzed with fear, after all, you don’t expect us to put ourselves in danger, do you? Those donuts are not going to eat themselves.
I’m pretty strong on civil liberties but maybe a few big problems for assholes like these and the large number of other assholes running wild will learn to behave for a bit.
