An article from National Public Radio was hit with universal scorn because it detailed the self-care people might need in order to deal with the traumatizing headlines from the war in Ukraine.
“Russia’s attack on Ukraine means there’s a stressful news cycle ahead of us. The reality of conflict is always a shock to the system,” read the tweet from NPR on Friday as Ukrainian citizens were defending their country against an overwhelming Russian invasion.
The article from NPR’s “Life Kit” offered helpful suggestions about self-care while sitting at home reading about brave Ukrainian patriots dying in the streets to protect their families.
“Maybe this is the time that you finally recreate a family recipe, or maybe you learn how to make a prettier pie, or maybe you just lose yourself to a kitsch reorganization,” read one of their recommendations. read more
Or better yet, get the hell away from NPR.
We had a chance to defund NPR and PBS when – ugh – Boehner led the GOP House of Representatives. It came up for a vote, but Boehner killed it.
The GOPe has done more damage to this country than any leftist, because the leftists could not have done the damage without the COOPERATION of the GOPe.
And yet colleges providing safe spaces and coloring books when a republican shows up on campus is totally acceptable.
Aw, did my little pumpkin fall down and get a boo-boo. Here let mommy kiss it for you and make it all better.
Watching reruns of “The Andy Griffin Show” and “Happy Days” seems to work for some people, but I’ve been watching “The Price of Empire” and “The World at War” since I want to put the Russian war on Ukraine in a historical context. Luckily, I found my father’s favorite recipe for a Pisco Sour the other day, and I’ve finally managed to control my anxiety over this catastrophe. I may need to buy another bottle of Pisco Brandy to make it through Obiden’s State of the Dementia Address.
Advice to anyone who finds comfort and wisdom in this NPR article: Kill yourself. Now.
We need to find a refuge outside of this country for these pathetic soy boys and emotive girls. They are destroying our country and I’m sick of it!
As pathetic as it is, it makes sense.
Morons, imbeciles, retards, and the emotionally stunted are their listeners.
I’m almost certain that a “kitsch” reorganization will be beneficial.
kitsch – “Kitsch is a term applied to art and design that is perceived as naïve imitation, gratuitous, or of banal taste. According to early critical theory, kitsch provides immediate gratification based on contrived sentiment.”

That it is, but we can’t wait that long. We need them removed, isolated and neutralized immediately.
I detest terms like “self-care”. Someone dear to me used the phrase “vaccine hesitant” last week and I reminded him that people who refuse to take an experimental drug are not “hesitant” in the least. They simply want sovereignty over their own lives! See how the commies can drive the narrative with their poppycock language? It’s very queer.
“Traumatizing headlines” my ass.
Ukraine is experiencing some REAL trauma.
They need to be sent to the front lines in Ukrainian. Then they could justify those terrible feelings. With any luck they’ll be wounded.
How ridiculous. Everyone knows the people need more help dealing with trucks honking.
Let’s go, Brandon.
Who listens to NPR anyway? I quit listening to them about 1985 and haven’t listened to All Liberal Things Considered or Morning Edition since then.
NPR merely hoping to keep the wokester maskholes, soybois, science-denying trans/gender-confused mental cases, and all the rest of the non-thinkers who vote DimwitRAT from offing themselves before they can vote in the next election.
