DC: Denver County’s sheriff office has been slapped with a fine by the Department of Justice (DOJ) because it refused to hire non-citizens as deputies.
From the beginning of 2015 through last March, the Denver Sheriff Department went on a major hiring binge, adding more than 200 new deputies. But those jobs ended up only going to citizens, because the department made citizenship a stated requirement on the job application. The department admitted as much in a new settlement with the U.S. government, which requires it to pay a $10,000 fine.
The department will also have to comb through all of its job applications from the past two years, identifying immigrants who were excluded from the hiring process and giving them due consideration.
Why doesn’t the DOJ simply apply the old Hillary Clinton “lack of intent” rule and just let bygones be bygones?
Don’t comply or pay the fine. Appeal to the Trump DOJ.

A law enforcement officer doesn’t take an oath to enforce all laws. An officer swears/affirms an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and in most oaths, the state in which he/she affirms that oath. What the hell good would it do for a non-citizen to take an oath that they have no vested interested in?
“I, [employee name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of [name of State] against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of [name of State]; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties upon which I am about to enter.”
Always ask yourself: if they were enemies bent on weakening the U.S. from within, would they be doing anything differently?
DOJ needs to be down sized and refocused.
From the story it seems that the Police are saying that they simply didn’t know it was a requirement. This tells me that they won’t appeal this to anyone but will follow the directions of DOJ which means it’s likely some actual citizen who got a job will now get canned and replaced with an non-citizen.

Loretta’s DOJ cannot be bothered to press charges against seditionists trying to overthrow our election and our nation. But they go after this? I hope Loretta Lynch is charged federally after the inauguration with willful intent to obstruct the Dept of Justice and subvert the Constitution. An honest jury will declare her guilty of all counts, and an honest judge will sentence her to life plus 240 years at hard labor.

US law enforcement personnel should be (properly screened) US citizens. Period. No exceptions. Why does noone ever ask Obama to give his rationale or justification for the weird stuff that he pulls ?
