The man who gave us “Miller Time” and told us “Soup is real food,” passed away recently.
He will go down in history as the man who taught the world to sing in perfect harmony in 1971.
The ad itself was initially a flop till they shot a video to show the world how to “keep it company.”
The Coke ad Here
I like to think of that ad as the signal that the Hippie movement was dead because when they start using your imagery to hawk stuff, you’re no longer counter-culture.
Uhhh … RIP … I guess …
So, what’s with the password protected images?
So he made tons of money brainwashing people. Meh.
Never liked the Coke ad — too much kumbaya and “one world order” even in the 70s.
Besides, if you’re from Atlanta it’s not Coke — it’s Co-cola.
“…the man who taught the world to sing in perfect harmony in 1971.”
Naaah, man. That was Don Draper. Din’t you see the last episode of Madmen”?
drriff, the IOTW logo also looks like that on my kindle.
45 years and trillions of dollars of entitlements later there is no harmony and they have half the country thinking it’s 1965!!

Too bad he didn’t concoct an ad praising The New World Order.. oh, wait… he DID !!
It’s “Soup is good food.”
I was 15 and I hated that ad.
