None of either of these burger places exists within a thousand miles or more. Frugal’s a Seattle burger place has opened up a burger joint just down the street from Gonzaga University in Spokane in the past couple of years and they have very good burgers and fries for a decent price. And they have huckleberry shakes which my daughter loves and my other daughter in Nashville is jealous of since there are no huckleberry shakes in Tennessee.

Never had a burger from In and Out. But What a burger sucks.
2
Never had either one and probably will not. I don’t do fast food when I travel.

If you go here you can see 101 ways to build a burger. Many of these will probably blow the restaurants burgers out of the water.
Good alternative to a fast food burger: Culver’s pork loin sandwich.
As for the burgers that appeal to my tastes the most, it has to be Five Guys.

I ate at Whataburger for the first time a few months ago with a pal who grew up on them in TX, but I’m in FL. I’ve eaten a “hamburger” in Havana, Cuba that was some kind of mysterious grey ground something or other, and the Whataburger tasted just the same. It was vile. Anything but Whataburger.

Try Wahlburgers. They’re good!
Living in Texas, I like Whataburger and their special sandwiches. But for just a burger at a fast food place, In-n-Out has my vote. The slice of onion and sauce is awesome.
griff’s in albuquerque, nm…unfortunately on central ave.
Texas vs California…
Personally, 5-Guys beats them both by a country mile…
Sean Hannity wants to bring In-n-Out to Florida.
He had DeSantis make a pitch to their CEO.
In-n-Out is good with a big hunk of grilled onion.
Of course, any restaurant that doesn’t carry mayonnaise to-go is deducted a couple of points…
What about Five Guys?
(unless you have a peanut allergy)

I’d much rather have something world-renowned, like this Father’s Office (Santa Monica, CA) burger. $22 bucks for world-class is a decent deal.

For actual fast-food burgers, I like In N Out fine (usually with church or scout kids in attendance), but my favorite is Fatburger.
It is all refuse.
