He’s received a reliable tip over at Conservative Treehouse that something very large regarding the Obama DOJ, FBI surveillance conducted on Donald Trump, and how it was implemented illegally with FISA is about to break.  Check it out here

    But the real news in Smith’s well-researched article is that the information compiled by Fusion GPS in the dossier might have relied heavily on earlier reporting done by the firm’s founder about Russian lobbying in the U.S.

    Smith writes:

    A Tablet investigation using public sources to trace the evolution of the now-famous dossier suggests that central elements of the Russiagate scandal emerged not from the British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s top-secret “sources” in the Russian government—which are unlikely to exist separate from Russian government control—but from a series of stories that Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson and his wife Mary Jacoby co-wrote for The Wall Street Journal well before Fusion GPS existed, and Donald Trump was simply another loud-mouthed Manhattan real estate millionaire.

    Simpson and Jacoby co-wrote a Journal article in April 2007, “How Lobbyists Help Ex-Soviets Woo Washington.” In it, Smith notes, they identified Paul Manafort as a key player in introducing Russians to Beltway circles. They kept reporting on him over the years. When Manafort was hired to manage the Trump campaign, Simpson — by now running Fusion GPS — made him a focus of his research, and knew enough background information to build a plausible case.

    Smith points out that Fusion GPS had few sources within Russia. Nellie Ohr, who also worked with Fusion GPS and happened to be married to a senior official in Obama’s Department of Justice, had not lived in Russia for decades. on the Even former Christopher Steele, the former British spy who was hired to work on the dossier, probably had few good contacts. Simpson’s earlier Journal reporting was probably his best resource. And the CIA and FBI probably had few better sources: as Smith points out, their intelligence on Russia was terrible.

    So the entire Russia investigation may not be based on actual intelligence at all, but on reporting that is ten years out of date.

  14. I’m awaiting this development, but the MSDM will refer to anything along this line as a diversion from the Russian Collusion. I’m convinced that this will be something bigger than anything in our modern political history, but Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep will never make a movie about it. God speed, Sundance.

  17. OK, I got to go there. Q reported several weeks ago that individuals were being picked up and detained at GITMO. A week later Sessions and company visit. About the time Q dropped this a National Guard MP unit left from AZ to GITMO extremely tight lipped. Could all be coincidence. Time will tell. The IG is releasing his report publicly on the 13th. I’m sure most top level officials have already seen it. I need more popcorn.

  28. Something has changed in me today. I still don’t know what is going on with all the code, whispers and hints; but I seem to have gotten excited about what is going to happen. I had been cautiously optimistic, but maybe it’s the praying I have been doing, but I seem more hopeful than yesterday.

  31. Hotlanat Mike did you catch where Mary Jacoby wrote on FB that the CIA “hopped to and immediately worked to verify it. By August 2016 the CIA had verified the key finding of the dossier to the point that, as The Washington Post revealed, it was “having ‘eyes only’ top secret meetings with Obama about it.”

    I bet Barky was hands-on with those “about” queries, too. And it looks Glenn Simpson is joining Bill Ayers and Ben Rhodes in Barky’s stable of fabulist hacks. Wouldn’t be surprised if Glenn is ghostwriting Barky’s next book.

  34. Everyone in that photo needs to be rounded up by mobs of American citizens and dragged into the streets and be slaughtered for what they have done. These people are the enemies of all decent, faithful, patriotic citizens and should face a very, very unpleasant end in a most public way. Our children need to see what freedom loving people should do to evil people like this.

  35. I’ve been blue-balled by this kind of shit for too long. Until I see Obama or Hillary in orange jumpsuits breaking rocks while singing “Swing Low, sweet chariot” I will yawn.
