  1. Back in the early 90’s when I was making SSBN deterrent patrols in the North Pacific we always watched Top Gun on “Halfway Night.” This was our best meal of the patrol with steak, lobster, king crab and Black Forest cake. We also had funny skits and different contests. The Executive Officer almost always ended up compacting lots of saved trash while wearing an EAB. Good times!

Wow, I bet that was fun to make. Nobody where’s aviators like the CHP. You guys must take classes.
I like Tom Cruz. While everyone else in Hollywood was tripping over themselves to go woke he made a great patriotic movie and showed China the middle finger while doing it. You’ve probably seen this before but I think this is my favorite Cruz clip.

  4. OKAY thanks Brad . I haven’t seen the 2nd Top Gun yet but enjoyed the first . Actors can be annoying when they’re playing the parts of our Men in Uniform . I saw a good movie where Kevin Bacon played the part of a Marine who took on the duty of notifying the loved ones of fallen Marines and prior to the movie’s release while promoting it he complained about how scratchy the dress uniform was. And the thought occurred to me that it might really be uncomfortable to dodge a rain of bullets and incoming FIRE . That’s just my take on things. Actors are paid a lot of money for their “work’ .

  5. Still waiting for Kelsey Grammer to be recognized for recruitment to the submarine force for his role in “Down Periscope,” the most accurate depiction of submariners ever put on film!
