12 Comments on Trump Endorses the Removal of Gun Free Zones in the Military
Right now, Trump is making all the right noises. And I do mean right. What scares me is that he is saying the things the conservative community has demanded from the Republican presidential candidate since 1988.
But if he believes them and sticks to them, that’s the best step toward a conservative president. As long as he chooses a VP that will replace him and continue the conservatism.
I thought the only law Clinton lived by was to grab em and boink em!
Imagine that, military personnel entrusted with guns. What a unique idea!
A good rule of thumb would be to reverse EVERY Clinton & obammie change. There’d be damn few exceptions.
If he does nothing else, he will certainly change the tone during the debates and hopefully get the RNC to either poop or get off the pot.
We can trust them in war, why not to protect us/themselves.
As much as I would like to blame Clinton for this, it appears that the directive prohibiting firearm possession by all but security personnel on military bases (DoD Directive 5210.56) existed before he became president. This copy of the directive is dated February 25, 1992 – during George H. W. Bush’s administration.
Looks like Daddy’s got some ‘splainin’ to do.
watch these assholes in big media cough up some new bullshit scoring system just like the new york times coughed up new scoring so that they could screw ted cruz out of having a number one book on the list
This is a slippery slope…..next LEO will be able to carry….
Pretty sure it goes back further than that, Tuxedo; I came in in ’72, retired in ’93 (Navy) and there was never a time or place where we were allowed to carry personal firearms on duty. I believe that directive you cited was merely the latest version.
really liking trump right now.
Listen to his interview with the chicago tribune. The dude is presidential without scripted talking points or a teleprompter.
