Ukraine’s Zelensky fires Cabinet, citing too many foreigners on state board

Just The News: Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday dismissed his entire Cabinet of ministers, citing their decisions to place too many foreigners on the boards of state companies.

“The citizens of our country on governing boards of our companies are feeling like an ethnic minority,” Zelensky said in a speech to Parliament, in which he also thanked Western nations that financially aid and support Ukraine.

Zelensky was also critical of poor job performances by his Cabinet members over the last six months, but expressed gratitude that none of them had been involved in a corruption scandal. read more

  1. Having never been in politics before Zelensky seems to be making headway in his corruption fight, much the same as PDJT is trying to do in the USA. Maybe that is part of the long term solution, elect non politicians to top offices. They haven’t been exposed to the long term corruption that seems to permeate our halls of congress and have fresh solutions to old problems. The tradition of electing governors and senators to the top office hasn’t worked out very well in the past. Perhaps it’s time for a new vision without the cheerleading of the MSM.
