What should have been a straightforward arrest and trial spiraled into controversy in Massachussets

Masslive: The woman whose arrest triggered a state police scandal after salacious details in her arrest report were ordered removed by police brass, pleaded guilty to several charges included in that report.

Alli Bibaud pleaded guilty to operating under the influence of liquor and several motor vehicle violations in Framingham District Court Friday. The charge of operating under the influence of drugs was not settled and a hearing on that matter will be held at a date yet to be determined.

She is ordered to serve 14 months of probation, receive treatment for drug addiction and not drive for a year. Her attorney announced in court that Bibaud will attend a 32-day treatment at the Plymouth House rehabilitation facility, in Plymouth, New Hampshire.

On Oct. 16, around 9 p.m., state police troopers discovered Bibaud’s vehicle on Interstate 190 in Worcester after she collided with a guardrail near exit 2.

Police say Bibaud was lethargic and bleary-eyed when they approached her, and allege that she was in the possession of a heroin kit. She failed a sobriety test and breathalyzer, according to police.

What should have been a straightforward arrest and trial spiraled into controversy when Bibaud’s arrest report was redacted to remove several salacious remarks she made while in custody.

State Trooper Ryan Sceviour, who responded to the scene and drafted the report, recently filed a lawsuit against Massachusetts State Police, claiming he was punished for including the details and forced by his superiors to revise it.

He believes that the backlash against his report was due to the fact that Bibaud is the daughter of Dudley District Court Judge Timothy Bibaud.   read more

  1. What’s this world coming to? Mere mortal junkies are reduced to using a spike, belt & spoon. I guess if you’re the judge’s daughter you purchase a heroin “kit”.

  2. What is the world coming to?
This will make it very difficult for political favors for the wealthy contributors and the elite elected politicians.

Wasn’t Ted Kennedy from Massachusetts? That’s how the elite system is supposed to work.

Alcohol, vehicular homicide, drugs and attempted bribery through sexual favors?

Come on, it worked for Ted.
What’s the big deal now, just because of a State Cop with integrity got in the way and this was a woman?
Sexists apply the good old boy system unequally.
Yep, sexism ! That’s what it is.

  3. This is “par for the course” in the Soviet Republic of Massivetwoshits when the whelp of a judge is concerned. If you think things are ‘political’ where you are, you don’t even have a clue about what politics is; fortunately this happened with the SP and short-circuited the usual political BS. Still, the real culprit, Secretary of PS Bennett escapes scot-free. I believe he used the Colonel as a blind to hide his perfidy. (on more than one occasion).
