Are The Dems Seriously Plotting To Put Nancy Pelosi In The Oval Office?

Washington Examiner

Harvard Law School professor Laurence Tribe claimed there is a chance that neither Joe Biden nor Donald Trump will be president for the next four years.

Tribe, who is a vocal critic of President Trump, argued on Friday’s edition of The ReidOut that if the winner of the election is not determined by Jan. 20, 2021, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the third in line for the presidency, would assume the office.

“They’re trying to make it look chaotic, but there is a fail-safe mechanism built into the Constitution itself. And that is no matter how much dust [Trump] throws into the gears, at high noon on Jan. 20, 2021, if there has not been a new president elected, at that point, Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the House, becomes president of the United States,” he said on MSNBC. 2. Wait a minute. San Fran Nan being announced as the President if the election isn’t decided? Who is suggesting this? Some whack job lefty on an even further left network? Go ahead Mr. Tribe, take some more of those mind-twisting “medicines” and convince more of your handful of watchers.

  3. Well, they obviously had read my previous comments. Actually, I am more than a bit troubled that my paranoid rantings are proving to be accurate.

  4. Hmmm. What happens if the democraps loose the house majority and Republicans have selected their majority leader?
Also – What happens if Nancy suddenly doesn’t exist anymore?
Both have greater chances than her walking into the White House on Jan 20, 2021.

  5. With mail in voting, if Trump is ahead on election night, they’ll still keep counting mail in votes until the democrats can find enough. Then when they’ve manufactured enough mail in votes to push democrats ahead, they’ll declare the voting needs to stop.
We’ve been down this path too many times before to not know how it works.

  6. If this actually happens, BLM will continue to riot, antifa will continue to riot, the Tea Party will riot, conservatives will riot, leftists will riot, gun right advocates will riot – heck, it may be easier to find a group that will not riot. Maybe San Francisco can send their homeless to Washington D.C. to poop on 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

  7. “…no matter how much dust [Trump] throws into the gears…”
Translation: After our Soros-paid “community organizers” steal enough votes.

Some of you may think this is all just a left wing pipe dream, but a New York judge already ruled that post marks are not required on mail-in votes, so the dems can just keep voting until they have enough.

  8. “Why can’t republicans keep voting too? Never mind.”

Well, David Nunes just successfully got a conservative elected doing exactly that. In California no less. I’m not sayen they’re smart enough or organized enough to do it on the National level. But they are cognizant of what to do.

  9. Mark Levine addressed this last night. If there is no winner, then the House decides, and each state gets one delegate. The republicans would have 26 votes. The democrats would have 22 votes. Two states could vote either way.

  10. I thought there was a law/whatever that says the electors have to be enabled by 30 days after the election. Wasn’t that one of the reasons the supreme court stopped the vote counting in Florida when Bush was elected? So it can’t go until 1/20/21, can it?

  12. if no one is elected by Trump’s ‘expiration’ date, it would create a Constitutional crisis.

the 25th Amendment states: “In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President”

but, the VP serves the same term as POTUS …. sooooooooo, technically POTUS’ term has ‘expired’, not ‘died’, ‘removed’ or ‘resigned’

…. the Presidential Succession Act says the Squeaker of the House will succeed the VP

but …. no one in the line of succession can become President, except the VP. all other ‘officers’ can only ‘act’ as President

& there is that little matter that the Act is probably unConstitutional in the fact that it designates ‘officers’ as Acting President … & only Presidential Cabinet Officers are considered as ‘officers’ under the Constitution … & if the Squeaker decides to become ‘Acting President’, the Squeaker must resign their seat …. same w/ the president pro tempura of the Senate, 4th in line (quick! … anyone know who that is? … without searching!)

Lawrence Tribe, although his ‘expertise’ is supposed to be in the Constitution, he’s about as much a Constitutional ‘scholar’ as …… Barack Obama

  13. Conflating the 25th Amendment with the 20th Amendment.

What happens when no President nor Vice President has been qualified by the electoral college by Jan 20, is that the House of Representatives votes on who the President will be and the Senate votes on who the Vice President will be. So it basically works the same as if the Electoral College ended in a tie. It does not work like both the President and VP died. Of course, throwing the selection of the President to the current House is scary enough.

Section Three of 20th Amendment: “……and the Congress may by law provide for the case wherein neither a President elect nor a Vice President shall have qualified, declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected, and such person shall act accordingly until a President or Vice President shall have qualified.”

Section four of the 20th Amendment: “The Congress may by law provide for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the House of Representatives may choose a President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them, and for the case of the death of any of the persons from whom the Senate may choose a Vice President whenever the right of choice shall have devolved upon them.”

  17. Hasn’t it been Nasty Nance’s plan all along – to weasel her way, by hook or by crook, into becoming president. She just finds it’s such a perfect opportunity now to sabotage President Trump as a bonus. Prayfully none of the Demwits wicked strategies – mail in votes, assassination attempts or Marxist propaganda will succeed. God only knows.
