Bankrupt Pizza Hut to Shut Nearly 130 Outlets

EYM Pizza L.P., a Pizza Hut franchisee that filed for bankruptcy in July, is selling all 127 of its stores in Illinois, Indiana, Georgia, South Carolina, and Wisconsin, as part of a financial restructuring process.

EYM engaged M&A advisory and brokerage firm National Franchise Sales to facilitate the sale, including assistance in the asset recovery process to maximize recovery for creditors. EYM’s bankruptcy filing listed two creditors: Manufacturers Bank, which it owes more than $21 million, and Pizza Hut itself, which is owed just under $2.25 million. More

  1. They opened a Pizza Hut in my town about five years ago, and at first I was pretty stoked about it. Then I actually ate what passes for pizza at Pizza Hut these days. I never would have thought that someone could fuck up a pizza worse than Dominos, but apparently, I was wrong.

  2. Pizza Hut may not be missed, but isn’t it a victim of Bidenomics? Without out of control inflation, Pizza Hut may have survived and eventually forced to learn to make good pizza or fade away like any other mediocre restaurant brand.
