A former Scientologist has filed the first of what her attorneys say will be multiple lawsuits against the Church of Scientology International and its leader, alleging retaliation, child abuse, human trafficking and forced labor against her and other members who have left the church. The suit, filed Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court, seeks unspecified general, special and compensatory damages, well as unpaid wages, from the church, its Religious Technology Center and its “ecclesiastical leader,” David Miscavige, and 25 unnamed co-respondents at a jury trial.  More

    It was a club formed as a spoof religion for the purpose of glomming tax benefits, a club that actually would do other kinds of activities for those in-the-know, the at-the-top in-crowd — cruises, parties, anti-psych research…

  2. It’s about time. Alas, due to the “church’s” tax exempt status and massive property holdings, their legal team will fight this until Jesus returns.

    Miscavige is a violent lunatic, his staff follows his every move in fear of retribution, beatings, and/or confinement.

    It’s time for the IRS to review and revoke Scientology’s tax-exempt status. It’s a money-making scam allowing the top leadership to reap untold fortunes. Has been since LRH chattered his rotten teeth way back when.
