Connecticut Circles the Bowl

With a $220 million short fall for this fiscal year and an expected deficit of $900 million next year, Connecticut is staring at a $2 billion budget deficit.

The Democrat run state has tried raising taxes and is now withholding payments to hospitals, cutting services for the disabled, raising tuition and cutting the state payroll but they are still coming up short.

Yesterday, a bill to redefine the property holdings of Yale University so that buildings with a commercial use can be taxed, passed committee.

Perhaps the worst blow to the nutmeg state was the recent decision by GE to move its corporate Headquarters to Boston.

Talk about economic inequality –  you’ll find the widest gap in the nation in Connecticut.

  1. So they just can’t figger out how to cut the hundreds of thousands of statist employees that always vote demoncrunt, huh ??
Makes you wonder who’s really at fault for the overwhelming deficit.

  2. Sounds like another DemonRat state with a YUUUUGE deficit: Kalifornication.
That’s it, guys, just keep piling insult to injury, see how long before the hollowed out house of cards collapses.

  3. I was driving from Western Mass down to Newark Airport on I-95 and needed some over the counter hay fever medication and saw a Walmart on the west side of the highway just north of Stamford, so I took the next exit and circled back to it through a neighborhood.

Fuck me Kate! I have never seen anything like it – even the five year-olds were covered in tattoos and drinking a forty-ouncer of malt liqueur on the porch.

  4. “The Democrat run state …”

How could the result be otherwise?

“They know the price of everything, and the value of nothing …”

Applies to socialists, as well …

  5. They can CHOKE on it. I can’t wait for the all the blue states to melt down. They have only themselves to blame and its only going to get worse before there is any chance of it getting better.

The more I think about it the more I think I should move to Montana or Idaho (some place where the nearest neighbor is Sasquatch) and just ride the impending storm out there.

  6. Wealth redistribution.

The Feds will step in, tax the productive, and give it to the parasites. It’ll be called “a necessary bailout” to keep the states afloat … or “an investment” in Connecticut.

Whatever euphemism or lie they come up with, the result will be the same.

Reward fiscal recklessness (and graft) and punish thrift.

    izlamo delenda est …
