…DID they? DO they? Once I would have said so, but recent events should call ALL such long-held beliefs into question.
I’ve heard it said that President Trump actually won even California, if you take ot the illegal votes.
To believe otherwise is to believe that everyone there votes against their OWN obvious self-interests.
I never have any problem believing people are evil and stupid, I’ve met many of both, sometimes in the same person.
But I am ALSO sure that such vote selfishly, and will not vote for that which does not serve them PERSONALLY.
There’s no carrots anymore, Democrats are now nothing but stick.
And I do believe the selfish and the venial would react against that just as much as the righteous, if for very different reasons…

@SNS. I can’t argue against the notion that voter fraud has been a reality even going back as far as Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall.
I could even argue that New York was filled with british loyalists during the revolutionary war.
Wage increases without productivity increases just result in higher prices for everything produced by the workers involved. which increases the cost of living for those workers necessitating more wages increases so they can keep up with the cost of living increases their last wage increase caused.
So no one ever really gets ahead by minimum wage increases, they break even at best and frequently lose ground to them.
Govenors have to lead with the consent of the governed. Too many of these R soles act like dictators!

…that does not appear to be true any more, or we all really DO like it…
In our system, the consent of the governed is given through the vote of the people in the elections.
We’ll have a chance to withdraw it the next time these governors run for election again if we don’t do so by recalling them before then.
California elector votes should be thrown out. The law specifically says if a ballot does not say “Voting for this candidate gives all electoral votes to this person” (close as I can) the ballot must be discarded. Guess what None of the ballots contained that. They all must be discarded by law. More fraud on a massive scale.

No, Trump did not win California. A state that gave Newsom a landslide win with percentages not seen since since Earl Warren in 1950, a state that had the dumbest senator in history-Harris, and a state that has super majority Democrat rule in the Legislature, did not just do a 180 and vote Trump over Biden. Trump only won about 30% of California in 2016, and about 34% this go round. I think it would have been closer to 40% to 42% had it been an honest election.
