I sent an e-mail to Senator Tammy Baldwin just before the final vote in the senate to put Brett Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court. I received back a reply just this evening. Since the senator used a no reply e-mail auto-response address, I had to go to her Facebook page to respond.
Senator Baldwin, while I appreciate you eventually getting around to sending a badly done form letter explaining your vote against judge Kavanaugh (first to vote against him in the senate as I remember, congrats) I found the lack of effort put forth by your office insulting. The email response I received tonight came on your official letter head and was done in three different fonts. Sending out a bland obviously rote response is one thing, but not even bothering to make sure the letter is done in the same font is either lazy or incompetent, which tells me all I need to know about the attitude you and your office has towards your constituents. Looking forward to voting for Vukmir next month.
Nice!
Nice note, Dr. Tar! I wonder what kind of form letter you’ll get back this time… (-:
I once had a girlfriend named Tammy, and it got fairly serious until she got quite angry with me for not opting to go to Canada instead of into the Army. This was 1968-69 before the draft lottery; there was ZERO doubt that I’d be called up. So I enlisted.
I’ve been very suspicious of women named Tammy ever since.
Dr. Tar. At least you get a fucked up form letter response. My two scumbags, Schumer and Gillibrand don’t even respond.
I thought it was a guy?!?!
