It’s not contempt for homosexuals; it’s a simple acknowledgement that our Creator has deemed certain behaviors as unacceptable – what we know as sin. There are all kinds and forms of sin, homosexuality is one of them but it does come with an additional caveat as shown in 1 Co 6:17-20.

18 Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.

Sexual sins are sins against God because we are created in His image. Bishop Lynch ought to know this stuff and shun the politically correct posturing.

For a second I was hoping this was an Anglican Bishop, but alas no. What a dick. Having said that on his watch his diocese of St. Petersburg ponied up 4.7 million bucks to settle sexual misconduct charges.
