Epoch Times: Senate investigators in late October intensified their scrutiny of an acquisition by a Chinese firm tied to Hunter Biden of an American manufacturer of anti-vibration technologies with military applications.
Investigations and oversight staff from the office of Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley received an “extensive, classified briefing” on Oct. 25 from the Treasury and Commerce departments and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, according to Grassley’s office.
“Chairman Grassley intends to review additional material and will contact the agencies with follow-up questions in the coming weeks,” Michael Zona, the communications director for Grassley’s office, said in a statement on Oct. 25.
Sen. Grassley (R-Iowa) first raised concerns about the acquisition of Henniges, an American manufacturer of anti-vibration technologies, in mid-August. The Obama administration’s Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) approved the acquisition despite a number of red flags and potential conflicts of interest. read more
Ultra quiet Chinese submarines in 3,2,1…
Thanks Bidens!
…why is EVERYTHING that OUR Government does anymore super-duper-ultra-triple-secret-classified, anyway? I mean the ONLY thing they don’t redact for the average taxpayer like ME is the line on the 1040 where it says you gots to PAY. Other than THAT, everything, absolutely EVERYTHING since at LEAST 2008 has been classed NONYA BIDNESS, and it did NOT get any better with President Trump in office, except for strategic releases BY HIM ONLY, it’s actually gotten WORSE.
…The WaPo doesn’t LIVE it, but the fact is that Democracy does INDEED die in the dark. If OUR REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNMENT can’t do a SINGLE thing that they can actually, openly TELL us about, that would suggest to ME that OUR Government is CONSTANTLY up to no good, and nothing short of a Convention of States or outright Civil War will be enough to set it RIGHT…
@Supernightshade: Your comment raises interesting questions. So interesting that not only are the answers classified, but the questions are too. Some interesting government employees will stop by your house shortly – perhaps around 2:00 a.m. or so – to have a chat about this.
Don’t wait up because with daylight savings time, even we government agents get confused so it may be an hour later or an hour earlier. How daylight savings works is also a super-duper classified secret.
A Convention of States? Glad to hear you included that possibility. The American people will to have talk about it eventually. If we make it past 2020 with Trump, it could become a reality by the end of his second term or by around 2025 when our economy is swallowed and destroyed by statutory entitlement spending.
Trump can help keep us ‘afloat,’ but the 100+ years of damage to our Constitution has to be fixed by the States. Our Constitution has fatal flaws – wording that leads to Marxism – that must be expunged.
I don’t know if we can do it without an attendant civil war, but there will be a point of no return unless we do.
Government loves me so shut up all of you h8rs.
We need a convention of states to get rid of day light savings time?
^^^
Congress would do it TODAY if it’s the “Impeach Trump and Time Change Bill to Impeach Trump”. Otherwise, yes, you probably DO need a Convention…
