90 miles from tyranny: This is the only logical conclusion to be drawn from a series of data leaks and Freedom of Information (FOI) revelations exposing the relationship between left wing campaigners and the great climate change scam.
Global warming, it becomes clear, is primarily a left-wing political issue, not a scientific one. Green is the new red.
These leaks show how rich liberal backers—left-wing institutions like the Rockefeller Foundation, eco hedge-fund billionaires like Tom Steyer, and the various socialistic Geek Emperors of Silicon Valley—are funneling millions of dollars into sock-puppet environmental organizations both to undermine Trump’s economic agenda and to finance his political opponents both in the Democratic Party and the GOP.

This poses as “a bi-partisan coalition of states is committed to the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement.” Or so the website says. But anyone can set up a website.
The truth, as the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has discovered through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)-requested email correspondence, is that U.S. Climate Alliance is just a front. Its real purpose is to enable the richly funded green lobby to buy up Democrat governors—and one, token, squishy Republican governor: Gov. Charlie Baker (MA)—by effectively bribing them with free office, research and staffing facilities which they can run off books. read more

The greater issue I see here is the forfeiture of reason in favor of emotive reaction.
The Left has degraded reason as a motive for action in order to create sheep incapable of independent thought, compliant to peer pressure, and willing jailers in the Gulag of the mind.
Tom Steyer made his billions selling Australian coal to China. At the very same time he was funding the anti-coal movement in the US to shut down competition. The media look the other way.
Nothing like disagreeing w frauds to rip off the masks of deception. Elon Musk, the biggest welfare recipient businessman, overall principled douche, quit Trump’s committee in disgust after he pulled out of the Paris Climate Accord.
Then the mass exodus of various business ppl after Charlottesville. Oh the injustice.
Had these pillars of the capitalistic economic system remained to advise our president, imagine how our economy would be booming by now! Oh wait, never mind.
The “Green” movement which infected us, to a great deal, from Europe back in the 80s, was, unapologetically, the flotsam and jetsam of Bolshevism after the collapse of the Soviet Union.
At the time they were quite proud of themselves and made few obfuscations.
They actively recruited at our colleges and Universities calling themselves “Greens” and expostulating a rather sordid Marxism fused with EnviroNazism.
At the time I thought them some weird fringe radicalization of the forlorn (and I thought, lost) hope for Inter-National Socialism. But they were far more tenacious and well-financed than was dreamt of in my philosophy – I still thought Americans were too smart to suck into such foolishness.

It’s telling that the “fix” is always more money and regulation. The left learned that green, just like healthcare, is another path to expand government control and to diminish economic freedom.
Tom Steyer is not the only hypocrite to come across as a do-gooder while actually doing just the opposite. Warren Buffet did all he could to shut down a pipe line from Canada to gulf states at the same time he was making sure all that oil was being transported on his very own Burlington Northern railroad at one helluva lot more money.

I blame the whole thing on Rachael Carson for blazing the trail showing how gullible people can be about environmental issues. Those who came later seeing a way to hustle sacks of cash & build an excuse to control people others followed – widening & paving the Carson Trail into a super express highway.
How many millions have been killed as a result of environmentalism? Between the banning of pesticides ushering in mosquito borne diseases and the lightenening of automobiles and the banning of hunting of dangerous animals it’s in the millions. All the while they virtue signal.
The Vast Environmental Industry was created by the Communist Soviet Union’s KGB in the 70’s. It was a scheme by the Socialists to use Useful Idiots in the West to agitate their govts into wastefully spending hundreds of billions annually on unneeded environmental regulations.
Like the Fake News Media, environmentalists, anti-hunters, and gun control groups have zero credibility and I discount everything they say and offer.
They all want to take our liberties. Most are socialist or supportive of that failed ideology and they are evil.
The hard core left all have that beady eye look on their face.
