National Rifle Association Chief Executive Wayne LaPierre billed the group’s ad agency $39,000 for one day of shopping at a Beverly Hills clothing boutique, $18,300 for a car and driver in Europe and had the agency cover $13,800 in rent for a summer intern, according to newly revealed NRA internal documents.

So the NRA Chief Executive gets a nice fat salary and he is entitled to charge his clothing, car, and an apartment for his “intern” to the NRA? No wonder he fought so hard to keep his job. Looks bad for the NRA.

Wayne and Chris Cox need to begone along with all of the other swamp creatures that are sucking all the money out of the NRA. With them around, all most all the money donated to the NRA is going into their pockets and not doing what it was donated for. Support the GOA or FPC or any other org that actually fights for your rights and give nothing to the NRA until it gets its shit together!
Whoa, these expenditures are worthy of a diva and not the NRA prez. Boot him out. And knock off the constant telephone harassment for more money; most people I know that quit the NRA did so for this reason.

If you’re in the top echelon in any organization for a long period of time this kind of crap is not unusual. Sad because this is the only organization with the lobbying or power to give a real voice to gun owners. Some other good smaller groups out there, but not with the juice to get things done or corrected.
Met him once and was very affable and gracious to a low level peasant such as myself.
Hope it’s not true or partially explainable as not all to him, etc. If true, clean house and do the best damage control possible.

I understand Wayne squeezed out a contract that once he leaves, they will continue to pay him his same salary for life…as a consultant, you know.
I think a lot of people don’t understand if your salary is in the multiple millions of dollars a year you don’t pay for your shit out of your money. Because the people paying you have, obviously, millions of dollars to toss around. So you bill your shit to those folks so it don’t impact your personal millions of dollars.
This be how you get rich and stay rich. Don’t pay for shit out of your money.
I know it’s a different accounting system than all of us here use, but this is how you do things at this level of executive compensation.
