Lightning Bolt Strikes Toilet At Okmulgee Apartment Complex-

Okmulgee fire crews say they received an unusual call overnight about a lightning strike at the Oxford Apartments.

According to fire officials, a lightning bolt went through the roof of the complex and struck a toilet, shattering the bowl.

Crews say nobody lives in the apartment, however, it was supposed to be rented out on Thursday morning.

  1. When I was a kid there was a lightning strike on the power line leading to my house. The voltage spike traveled down the line, into the house and found the last outlet on one of the circuits. A monstrous flash burst out of the wall outlet about 15 feet from me. I don’t remember having to change my underwear but I definitely experienced extreme anal pucker…

  2. Side topic – This morning I woke to a mild screeching sound coming from the bathroom, like what you would expect from an electronic device. It was very high frequency, but not very loud. I looked around and identified it was coming from the toilet tank. I lifted off the lid and the sound was coming from the flush valve. I just tapped it and the sound went away.
    I have experienced buzzing in water lines when an air bubble gets trapped at a T or fitting and vibrates as water passes by. But this was a much higher pitch and the water wasn’t running.

    lightning arrestor box.6″ wide copper foil goes
    from the arrestors to the 2 ground rods. Texas
    gumbo soil conducts real good.Not like Florida sand.
