In a gun control video meant to affect the mid-terms, Neil Young revisits his Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young hit “Ohio” to associate the 1970 Kent State shooting with the Parkland school shooting earlier this year.
The Hill quoted Young saying, “Today we see what we have become. With no real laws protecting us from guns, and with politicians supporting the NRA because the NRA supports them, we are not well represented.”
Well, I hope Neil Young will remember, Southern man don’t need him around. And that goes for the rest of us too!

You don’t need protection from guns, Neil, because no gun ever jumped up and shot anyone on its own. You do need to protect yourself from people with guns, especially the really dangerous ones with govt credentials of one kind or another. Passing more laws works against that, but you obviously haven’t yet figured out that more laws means more govt thugs.

So I actually paid money to see Neil Young in concert this year.
The concert pretty much sucked.
He like refused to play songs we would all be familiar with – that made him famous. – that we wanted to see.
Instead he played completely new stuff. Oddball songs.
Except he did play “Ohio”
I wondered why he selected that one song.
Now I know why.
He’s not protesting Nixon.
He’s protesting President Trump.
What an ass.

I have guns…they seem to be well behaved. They don’t jump up and go commit mayhem.
You want to ban guns, I get that. But ‘drugs’ are banned, too. And it seems you have used more than most.

Does anyone know what the difference is between a ‘real’ law vs. the laws we do have? .45-70 has it spot-on, if we would all follow the laws we have we wouldn’t have the issues we do have. Some folks want to have only the laws they “like”. Neil is one of those too.
I agree with the “how many more” thing. How many more psychopaths, drug-addled freaks, illegal alien murderers and rapists, Muslim madmen, and liberal nutjobs will we need to protect ourselves from?

We had laws that woulda stopped Parkland, but ya kinda need law enforcement to uphold those laws. From the FBI, down to that two-bit sheriff, there was nothing but ineptitude.
Besides, Neil…not to make light of horrific occurrences…but how many school kids have been victims of mass school shootings in this country, compared with…I dunno…overdose deaths? Why not put yer celebrity status behind something that might actually SAVE some student lives? Seems to me you’ve got a lot more experience with the needle and the damage done than anything concerning firearms.

What’s this “we” shit that brain dead acid head is babbling about? I’m guessing more than 70 percent of households in my county has at least one gun. How many gun murders happened here in the last year? None. The year before that? None. Within the past five years? None.
I was a big Neil Young fan, learning and performing his songs back in the day when I was a non-thinking liberal by default. He was a great songwriter (emphasis on WAS). Well, I have long since come to my senses and have to ask Neil an important question. Neil, since you are an advocate of many socialist causes, why don’t you give away your vast wealth to the poor and needy?
