State Attorneys General sign letter to Biden about federal overreach

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Several attorneys general around the nation, including Mississippi’s Lynn Fitch, are challenging President Biden not to overstep his bounds under his oath of office.

Fitch signed a letter sent to President Joe Biden on Wednesday saying that any potentially unconstitutional executive actions or federal overreach will not go unchallenged.

The letter opens by saying, “Dear President Biden, one week ago you assumed the presidency of the United States of America, and took the oath of office. You swore to preserve, protect and defend the constitution of the United States of America. Today, we write to you in our capacity as State Attorneys General, regarding areas of vital importance to our States as you execute your job in the days and months ahead.”

The letter is also signed by the AG’s of West Virginia, Arkansas, Indiana, Montana, and Texas.

It also goes on to say, “any actions that might exceed their statutory authority, are inconsistent with constitutional tenets or place civil liberties at risk could trigger legal action by the states.”

The attorneys make it clear they accept the responsibility to challenge any of the president’s unconstitutional laws in court. MORE

  1. I imagine we’ll get the chance to see if those AG’s follow through on their threat to challenge those unconstitutional laws in court or not.

    Shouldn’t take too long.

  2. Joey overstepped when he took an oath for an office that was “won” in a fraudulent election. The election was a fraud – therefore the elected is a fraud – a usurper – a pretender – why should he refrain from overstepping anything? As long as enough of us are willing to pretend he’s legitimate, he will rule as an overstepping tyrant (see, for instance, Oliver Cromwell).

  3. Where in the Constitution does it authorize the US to pay for worldwide abortions…
I have read that document for years and never seen that clause,
That is a prime case of overstepping Constitutional limits.

  4. I can’t even find the word “abortion” in my copy of the Constitution.
    Or the phrase “fag marriage.”
I guess I got one of those cheap copies …

  5. “Where in the Constitution does it authorize the US to pay for worldwide abortions…”

Most of what congress does, actually most of what both Republicans and Democrats call for them to do, has no actual authorization in the Constitution.

Yet people from both sides allow them to do it anyway, and the Suprems usually back them up on top of it.

  6. New SecDeaf wants to treat “climate change” as a national security issue…
Joe must work overtime to find these low grade morons,
How about treating real enemies as real enemies,
What about fairy farts or leprechaun leavings ?
