State board votes 4-0 to certify petition to revoke Michigan Gov. Whitmer emergency powers

Just The News: After two orders from the Michigan Supreme Court, the State Board of Canvassers unanimously certified the Unlock Michigan petition aiming to revoke Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s emergency powers.

The petition heads to the GOP-led Legislature. The spokeswoman for Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey of Clarklake, Abby Walls, said lawmakers intend to enact the petition “as soon as we are able.”

  1. “…petition to revoke Michigan Gov. Whitmer emergency powers”

    …it’s a start.

…now, how ’bout a petition to remove Governor Whitmer?

…if there’s no real consequences, she WILL do it again…

  2. They better make it happen.

My country sheriff has already gone on tv (Fix News – national) at the beginning of the summer lockdown last year, and said he wasn’t going to enforce her mandates.

When I had my CPL class last month, he talked about the legalities we needed to be aware of. Then he mentioned that his office got so many calls after his interview that they almost had to shut down the phones. 90% of the calls were death threats.

    I love my sheriff.

  3. mickey & SNS, we have signed recall petitions. The SOS refuses to certify them. The state Supreme Court ruled that she HAS to certify them.

They were finally delivered a few weeks ago. Now, we are just waiting for the date for the recall election.

Now would be a good time!

  4. In MI, we have had a total of 23 recall efforts just since 2020.
Thanks to a 2012 law change regarding recalls, we cannot recall a governor during the last year of their term which would be 2022 for wHitler.
Thanks to that dumbass Snyder, he made it more difficult for us to rid ourselves of the bitch.
Hopefully, now that the state SC has ordered Benson to certify the petitions that did prevail, maybe we can get some recourse.
I will not hold my breath though.
The evil trio of wHitler, Nessel and Benson will find some way to screw us over, again.
