TruthRevolt: UnitedHealth Group, the nation’s largest insurer, is reconsidering its participation in the Obamacare exchanges after reporting near billion losses.
According to figures published at Fortune, UnitedHealth will lose $100 million dollars more than it projected in its financial forecasts for the 2016 Affordable Care Act enrollment numbers. Previous estimates were in the $400 million range, now rising past $500 million.
What’s worse, last year, the company reported $720 million in losses thanks to Obamacare and that number is expected to soar past $745 million in the next year. more
…and United Healthcare was deeply involved in the writing of Obamacare…oops!!!
Imagine that, a business not happy with losing a billion dollars (even though they supported Obummercare)! Too bad me so sad!
They be looking for reimbursement from their glorious leaders.
Interesting since United Health Group just posted their Q4 earnings report with the SEC and it shows 20% revenue growth and profits of $11B. Can the author of this article cite where he got that $1B loss figure? http://www.unitedhealthgroup.com/Investors/~/media/205CB82AC7A34CBDA8361AA1C1FFA803.ashx
The Healthcare and Pharmaceutical industries thought this socialist experiment would fulfill their greedy wishes. All it did was prove the free market will not tolerate a monopoly.
They reap what they have sewn.
F*** EM! Let them go under and go on Welfare! I want to see them suffer!
The plan is showing some fruit.
Drive the insurance industry to bankruptcy in order to swoop in and “rescue” the healthcare system with single payer.
It would appear that the one billion dollar welfare check they were expecting to get from the government want to Iran, for a bribe, instead! That’s what they get for trusting the Muslim in the White House!
You nailed it, Handy. ObamaCare is progressing according to plan.
