Charles Payne, anchor of FOX Business, recently highlighted New York’s escalating crime rate by describing an attempted break-in at his home.
Payne’s surveillance footage from Ring revealed a suspicious-looking man lurking outside his New York City house.
Payne stated this man went through one of his parked cars. In the video, they’re trying to take an angel from his home. He said when someone touches your doorknob and peeks inside, they’re invading your privacy.
Payne tweeted that “lawmakers want us vulnerable in our houses” and “Americans aren’t safe in the streets.” Where are we safe?
According to his tweets, it’s time to empower folks.
The New York Post reports that petty theft complaints have spiked by 52% in the New York City precinct where the Port Authority is located. This is one of six crime kinds that have risen in NYC this year.
Inflation reached 9.1% in June. Theft is up because it allows crooks to sell stolen goods at lower costs to cash-strapped consumers, according to the Post.
Payne’s wife is from the Bronx; he’s from Harlem. He said they grew up surrounded by the worst criminals.
He’d seen murders, attempted murders, muggings, and robberies. He was robbed. He was mugged. But everything changes when someone enters your home.
