Lexington, Massachusetts Prepares Gun Ban – IOTW Report

Lexington, Massachusetts Prepares Gun Ban

Daily Caller-

“Just as we fired the first shot to start the revolution, this might be the first shot – no pun intended – to start a movement against assault weapons that would capture the state and therefore maybe explode to reach the country.”

-Robert Rotberg author and catalyst of Lexington’s gun ban proposal.

The article also has a provision in which Lexington’s licensed gun owners who own firearms included in the ban would be forced to sell, render inoperable, or have them seized and destroyed by the police department.

The town of Lexington will be discussing Article 34, at their annual town meeting beginning on March 21st.  There will be robust discussion before the vote, but ultimately it will come down to how the town meeting members vote.

Lexington officials are quick to mention that the meeting is open to all, resident or not.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.  Will Lexington be the birthplace of the progressive, gun prohibitionist revolution?

  1. HOW MANY MORE OF THESE PENCIL-NECKED, PRIUS-DRIVING, DICKLESS, 2012 BUMPER-STICKERED, HOPE AND CHANGE MOFOS MUST WE ENDURE??

TRUMP WILL NOT BE UPSTAGED BY THESE TEDIOUSLY MORONIC PUSSIES!

AND IF THIS DOESN’T PUSH YOU TO BE ANGRY ENOUGH TO GO TRUMP, HOW ABOUT THIS FROM OUR “MESSIAH” QUOTE FROM LAST WEEK??

“I CONTINUE TO BELIEVE THAT MR. TRUMP WILL NOT BE PRESIDENT. I HAVE A LOT OF FAITH IN THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.”

WORTHLESS GOLFER-IN-CHIEF ON HIS 8TH YEAR! AYFKM???

GO TRUMP, GO 2ND AMENDMENT, THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE AGAINST MAYHEM!

  2. My veteran’s group marches in the Patriots Day parade in Lexington every year. I think we’ll be adding a magnet with the words of the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution to the float tow vehicle. If this unConstitutional bill gets passed, we’ll probably just tell the town committee we will never participate in their parade again as long as that law is on their books.

  3. Massachusetts is just a dim shadow to what it once was, a bastion of free men and women who fought for individual rights & liberty.

The state of ted kennedy and john kerry. Now it’s the socialist/progressive state of ed markey and elizabeth warren. Socialism is alive and festering in Massachusetts.

  4. My pistol instructor made a good point about protesting gun grabs.

Don’t show up dressed up like anything but a rational, successful citizen. No camo shit, leave the patriotic costumes at home. If you are trying to persuade people that you’re right (and you sure as hell ARE), you must come off as intellectually superior (and you sure as hell ARE).

When you look like somebody who would scare the bejeezus out of Pajama Boy, you’re only confirming their misconceptions.

    Food for thought.

Anybody been to a gun store lately? Makes me feel like things will be ok, seeing my fellow citizens there.

  5. AC; Those of us with a lathe and mill just need scrap metal.
You would be wise to learn how to make black powder from scratch. The only difficult item to procure is Sulphur. Luckily there are no controls on it yet. It is cheap and stores forever if sealed.
The only other things you need are wood and either dung or urine.

  6. The panty waist limp wristed hippy does not realize the full implications of what he he pushing for. He wants to start a revolution against those with guns. That takes a special level of stupid.

  7. Odin 2013
Our county Sheriff just removed all law enforcement privileges from the U.S. Forestry Law enforcement guys for continually confiscating legal weapons in our National Forests.

  8. Benito,
I had a run in with them about 18 months back. We were testing some weapons up there. Long story short they were going to take our rifles because they were not registered even after I showed them our 07 FFL. I finally asked them if they were any good at parking cars. One clown looks at me and says what’s that suppose to mean. I told him, that’s about the only job you’ll be able to land after I and the ATF gets through with you.
They split, I kept my guns.

  9. Use the same tactics the left would use. Make anonymous threats to the so called lawmakers or just let it be known YOU know where they live and where their family frequents. Not to a point where you are doing anything “illegal” just get their attention. That’s the same kind of shit they do!

  10. AA, the only people that call them “Assault Weapons” are the people trying to ban them. By the way we sell to more and more people that hunt with them. 25% of our sales are people that compete with them. An accurate description would actually be a defensive weapon, or tactical weapon.

  11. If the bore is rifled, then they are rifles otherwise they are just guns.
When loaded and in the hands of a chimpanzee they are dangerous, otherwise, when left alone they are quite harmless

  12. “Just as WE fired the first shot to start the revolution….” yadda, yadda, say Haavard Professor Robert Rotberg. STOP right there!

If he were around during the revolution, he’d be hiding under his mother’s skirt.

  13. Yea Unruly, We like our Sheriff here a lot. He’s a Patriot and a good man. His family has been here for generations so he gets it. This county is home to a valley they call “The Desolation Wilderness”. They call it that for a reason.

  14. @Ten-Ten: That seems to be just fine with them. Should do what they did down south, propose a law limiting the press and see how many people jump up to protest that. Of course in that rectum, nobody would ever think on their own.

  15. All I can conclude is that Mr Rottenberg is sucking at the teat of the Dem-S-M presstitutes for his “news”. If he had gone anywhere outside of that, he would have found out about the WWNC (We Will Not Comply) movement that started up in CO, NY, and CT when those states also passed their onerous anti-gun unConstitutional laws.
Basically, you pass that law. People don’t obey by either registering, turning in, destroying, or getting rid of their guns. Now what?
Do you sit and do nothing, and end up looking like an impotent fool? (too late!)
Or do you attempt to raid the houses of people that you suspect or know that have guns, for disobeying the new law? Knowing that the po-po or other “authoritah” will be shot and killed in the raid. ANd that you will be the next target.

SO, go ahead, pass your “law”. What next? Your move, asshole.
