Illegal immigration across the southwest border dropped yet again in April, with the number of illegal immigrant children fallen below 1,000 for the first time in recent records, Homeland Security announced Tuesday.
The numbers are part of a stunning drop since the beginning of the Trump administration. Border Patrol apprehensions alone are down a shocking 70 percent compared to last year under President Obama.
And the administration appears to have solved the surge of illegal immigrant children and families from Central America that bedeviled Mr. Obama.
Just 998 children were caught trying to sneak across the border in April, and only 1,119 people traveling as families were nabbed. Just five months earlier, in December, more than 16,000 family members were caught.
Border apprehensions are considered a rough yardstick for the overall flow of illegal immigration, so a drop in arrests is believed to reflect an overall drop in the flow of people.
These are great numbers and it just shows how useless the prior occupant of the big chair was. What is just as important (perhaps more so) is what about seizures of drugs going north and money coming south? With illegal immigration attempts down 70% can the manpower be deployed to try to shut off the drugs and money flow? I know that when they lose too many shipments the cartels will try to find other ways but in the meantime narcotics may become so expensive that a lot of junkies may finally take the cure and that saves money and money seized can’t be used to bribe or payoff the gunmen.
Like Gutfeld says, “Trump is the wall.”
But now look at so-called legal immigration (Muslims) based on figures posted by the Refugee Resettlement Watch people: “Again look at the numbers! Trump is on target for a just below an average year of about 60,000 admissions, but much to my shock the AP is reporting that Congress has granted enough funds for 75,000 this year! 75,000 would put the admission number ABOVE any year from FY2007 to FY2015”! Kudos for the downturn in Illegals but a raspberry for the ongoing and growing Muslim entries!
Now, if we cut off all funding for free shit for illegals, I bet that the numbers would go in to the negative zone as they start self deporting. Cut off the free shit, and they will leave.
If we also build that damn wall we were PROMISED, the number would drop to near zero. Zero would be good.
I want our wall, and Obama’s DACA executive order vacated (Trump is near worthless until we get both of these things out of him). He could vacate DACA today. Today would be acceptable.
If we then started tossing the illegals back over the wall, the illegal immigration number would go negative.
If the treasonous neocon filth in Congress could be brought to heel, they would pass citizenship legislation eliminating birthright citizenship, stripping people with a claim on dual citizenship of their US citizenship, and so on.
I note that these things have not happened.
I’m hoping that all of the neocon RINOs up for re-election lose their respective primaries in 2018, and are replaced by actual Americans who are actually Republicans.
The Wall still needs to be built because 1. it’s been LAW since at least the Secure Borders Act of 2006 and 2) to prevent any future Dem presidents from ignoring our Border in the future.
