Puerto Rican Engineering CEO: Local Government “Corrupt” Cannot Handle Emergencies

“I’m really tired of Puerto Rican government officials blaming the federal government for their woes and for not acting fast enough to help people on the island. Last week I had three federal agents in my office and I was so embarrassed; I went out of my way to apologize to them for the attitude of my government and what they have been saying about the U.S. response.”

  1. Stationed at Roosey Roads for three years (including the David Sanes incident at Vieques). Loved PR, the people, and the food but this guy is dead on. Local government is so corrupt, the had a gossip puppet show all about it – La Comay. The puppet broadcast all the dirt it could – if a person were doing the reporting, they’d be dead. We’d watch it in the LOX Shack above the airfield (at lunch maybe?) and our PR buddy Hector would translate the good stuff.

They purposely don’t vote for statehood in the referendums/plebiscites because they know they’d be screwed.

  2. Hey Girls…you’ll be slightly disappointed but I am enthusiastic and then you will have the opportunity to put your twine on the world’s largest ball of twine…..
