Suspicious, or No?

Disclose TV: The Swedish cartoonist Lars Vilks (75) died in a traffic accident. The artist had been under police protection for years because he drew the Islamic prophet Mohammed as a dog.

Vilks’s car collided with a truck driving in the opposite direction. The vehicle was driving on the E4 motorway near the town of Markaryd in southern Sweden on Sunday afternoon.

According to the publisher Expressen, the artist’s car slammed against the guardrail before colliding with the truck. The driver of the truck was hospitalized. more

  1. I swerved to miss a turtle, today.

Turtles are good people, unless they are those parrot beaked turtles. Some of them are pretty mean.

I remember one time I stopped on Citrus Pl. to let a turtle go by. We waited about 3 minutes. The turtle didn’t even blink. Scott said, “Run the motherfucker over!”

    “I can’t do that…”

Scott said, “I’ll get him the fuck out of here!”

I said, “You can’t touch him, his neck is fuckin’ 24 inches long!”

Scott waved at me and tied to pick the mofo up. Well, the turtle’s neck was WAY over 24 inches. Scott dropped the turtle and punted it into the ditch. Scott was close to 400 pounds. He could kick 20 pound things 40 feet away.

Scott got back in the car and said, “That motherfucker’s neck could reach its tail!”

I’m not sure why I’m telling this story, now.

  2. Or Michael Hastings, Bill.

I sometimes wonder, especially in this era of self-driving cars, if it is possible to remotely control most cars via their onboard computers, by loading malware via the OBD port or elsewhere. Makes you wonder why the whole car industry shut down because of a chip shortage. Those chips can’t be that sophisticated…can they?

  3. FWIW, I was driving one of my cars when the Antilock warning and the anti-skid warning came on. I drove home uneventfully. The next day, i was taking the car to be checked when the brakes started to apply by themselves and brought the car to a stop. I was able to get to the side of the road, but every time I tried to go forward, the anti-lock brakes would shudder it to a halt. I had to have it towed, and the dealer says it could be awhile before new sensors are available, because of “supply chain” problems.

Anyhow, if my car’s sensors can stop the car without my input, is it possible they can also be made to speed the car up and keep it from stopping? And if that results in a fiery crash, wouldn’t the car’s computer likely be burned to a crisp, destroying all “evidence”?
