Google Starting to Tag Fake News

They aren’t going to censor anyone, but Google is adding a “Fact Check” tag to the bits of news articles they feature. The system will rely on both PolitiFact and Snopes, as well as MSM sources like the NYT and The Washington Post.

Meanwhile, the BBC has discovered that fake news has become a bigger problem on the left than it ever was on the right.

If only lefty leaning “fact checkers” are being utilized by major online search engines, won’t that just force the fake news generators to migrate to the left to avoid closer scrutiny?

  1. In the end times there
    will be deceit,deceit,deceit
until no one knows what to beleive ???
Satan is the father of all lies…
Are we far from that point ?

  2. Snopes. Hilarious.

What a racket. “Bing” their ugly divorce/litigation/mutual charges of corruption for a glimpse of what a wretched vicious Lefty ding heap Snopes is (and always was).

  3. I use the browser, Duck, Duck Go. I don’t get the pop up ads nor the blocks I used to get when I look at IOTWREPORT or other conservative sites. Peaceful.

And in my previous post, it was BORDER patrol not ‘bidet’. That ‘selective’ correcting of my iPhone makes me very suspicious of even it!

I try not to be a conspiracy phobic, but sometimes it is difficult, when the damn thing corrects something I’ve written correctly, (ie-it wanted to ‘correct’ written to writ ten). Damn thing. I have checked this post twice for errors, hopefully it will post as written.

  4. MoJo, I hear you. My phone constantly auto-garbles what I’ve just typed correctly into something unrecognizable. I catch and retype 9 out of 10. But it’s twice the time and effort it should be.

I’ve had generally Good results switching to Bing as my search engine. I use various free pop up blocker apps. Only drawback is that sometimes video clips won’t play and some sites Disqus comments are blocked.
