What the Cop Said To This Fecal Pebble At His Sentencing Is Priceless

MiamiHerald-

A Florida police officer was taking his 14-year-old child to school in March 2016 when he spotted a reckless driver.

Though he wasn’t on duty, the undercover Jacksonville, Fla. officer tried to pull over Kevin Rojas, who was then 19, the Associated Press reports.

That’s when Rojas got out of his white Cadillac and started shooting at the officer, police said. The officer was sporting a ballistic vest that said “police” on it at the time, WLTV reports.

Rojas’ shots missed the officer’s son, AP reports, but ended up hitting the officer three times, according to police. The officer shot back, but Rojas fled the scene by stealing another vehicle, and then barricaded himself in a house. Other officers pursued him, and shot Rojas three times before he was apprehended.

At the sentencing:

“I brought a little gift for you,” the officer told Rojas, according to Action News Jax. “You will need it where you are going.”

… he pulled out a bottle of the personal lubricant K-Y Jelly, the Florida Times-Union reports.

The judge handed down the maximum prison sentence for each of the crimes Rojas was convicted of, according to the Times-Union.

“I’m pretty sure Mr. Rojas doesn’t understand what the rest of his life means,” Judge James Daniel said Wednesday, the Times-Union reports.

Why the hell do we have people in this country that are at the intelligence level of a gardening rake?

What was the fight with his girlfriend about? Paste tastes better than play-doh?

He should’ve shot the cop in San Francisco. Hasn’t he heard? They acquit hispanic murderers, because they are hispanic.

  1. Re: Kate,

A lawless nation is a sure sign of impending fracturing, collapse and a bloody restructuring.

But on the upside, “As it was in the days of Noah…” you know the rest. It can’t not happen.

  2. Should have been a KY bottle filled with super glue. Then Kevin will find out what happens when he doesn’t/won’t/can’t let go of Bubba’s fav-O-right toy. Talk about having the tiger by the tail…and finding out why that was NOT a good life choice.

Any over/under bets on the killer in Cali getting free legal representation so that he can continue killing people in the US while fighting being deported?

    MSG Grumpy

  3. Is this the Onion? Seems there’s a wicked lot of context missing here.

Do all off-duty undercover cops wear ballistic vests with “police” emblazoned on it while putting both their undercover status at risk as well as put their own child at risk just to pull over an erratic driver? And when they start taking fire, they keep going, even with their kid still in the car?

If you were a cop, would you do this and would you be proud to tell others you did it?

Yeah, it’s a cute line said by a cop that is still clearly power tripping over the experience. Both people were in search of a reason to explode and both people should be held accountable for the consequences of their actions. I hope that cop’s kid made it to 16.

  4. This little insect posed an immediate danger to the public and waiting for a radio car could have cost someone their life. I see no fault in what the officer did.

  5. What Half-Assed-Patriot said. And how much you want to bet the defense is going to demand that the policeman punished for the KY stunt? And that the policeman will be punished?

  6. This is one Jury I would have been glad to volunteer for.

In a sane world this little —- would be disposed of as inexpensivrly as possible to the Duval County taxpayers.
Instead he’ll spend a looooong life in prison. Like Charles Manson. Costing taxpayers $millions that are needed elsewhere — elder care, schools etc.
With any luck, once the KY runs out, he’ll get the Taxpayer Relief Shanking.

  7. When someone is in custody, his person is under the protection of the custodian.
If he is liable to rape and abuse, then the custodian has failed – and should take the place of the inmate.

The only humane solution is 4x4x4 foot cells with only an hour a day allowed out for exercise – alone.

    Warders must be held accountable.

    izlamo delenda est …

  8. I gotta be honest and this is going to upset some people
but this cop needs to be fired.
He’s supposed to be undercover. call for the uniform guys
and tail him at a safe distance. Also, why would you do
this with your kid in the car? Bad judgement in my opinion.

  9. waiting for a radio car could have cost someone their life. I see no fault in what the officer did.

LEOs are aware of the inherent danger they face. True, they take an oath is to serve & protect. His son didn’t take the same oath.

  10. Poorly written original news report omits a lot.
I agree “undercover” officer’s actions look overeager as described. Looks like the perp was fleeing a violent domestic & was threatening to harm both girlfriend and himself. Officer is actually a plainclothes Detective. Not clear if this perp was already part of an active operation/investigation.
Perp didn’t just “steal” a second getaway car, he carjacked it.
Lots of incomplete details and missing facts in the “reporting”.

  11. Re: police family members riding in JSO police cars:
Jacksonville Sherriffs office for decades had a policy allowing individual officers to keep their squad cars 24/7 as the “family car” and outside duty shifts, officers’ civilian family members were also allowed to drive the squad car. Nice perk but very costly to taxpayers — it requires 3 X the fleet size since each vehicle is only “working” one shift a day. Plus issues with college age offspring driving squad cars, family naturally being mistaken for LEOs etc.

Inevitably, one night a civilian Wife took the JSO car to 7-11 for some milk and pulled up just as armed robbers were exiting. They mistook the civilian Wife for an actual LEO and shot her dead behind the wheel.

Hellacious controversy. Policy was cancelled, but the Union later had it quietly reinstated.

That perk is probably why a 14 year old was being driven to school in an unmarked JSO car by off duty dad.
    Nice perk. Unwise policy.
