NYT Acquires Internal Administration “Red Dawn” E-mails, Releases Them

The Ultimate Patriot

As the coronavirus emerged and headed toward the United States, an extraordinary conversation was hatched among an elite group of infectious disease doctors and medical experts in the federal government and academic institutions around the nation.

Red Dawn — a nod to the 1984 film with Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen — was the nickname for the email chain they built. Different threads in the chain were named Red Dawn Breaking, Red Dawn Rising, Red Dawn Breaking Bad and, as the situation grew more dire, Red Dawn Raging. It was hosted by the chief medical officer at the Department of Homeland Security, Dr. Duane C. Caneva, starting in January with a small core of medical experts and friends that gradually grew to dozens.

The “Red Dawn String,” Dr. Caneva said, was intended “to provide thoughts, concerns, raise issues, share information across various colleagues responding to Covid-19,” including medical experts and doctors from the Health and Human Services Department, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Homeland Security Department, the Veterans Affairs Department, the Pentagon and other federal agencies tracking the historic health emergency.  More

It’s been what, 18 years since the first FOIA request to see Hillary’s e-mail exchanges in regards to Benghazi and we still haven’t seen them. – Dr. Tar

  1. The civil war that is brewing will not be comfortable for the swamp. It won’t be comfortable for us either, but at this point, what difference does it make.

  2. just a couple quick take-aways from the article …

“The Diamond Princess was an early case study of how quickly the virus could spread … the Red Dawn group [did] modeling, based on the virus spread on the cruise ship.
why model on the spread of a virus on a cruise ship? they are notorious for rapidly spreading virus & not a good subject to ‘model’ for the spread throughout a country!

    and ….
“February was a tipping point for some experts.”
meanwhile Trump shut down Chinese travel to the US in January!

  3. But Trump didn’t ban US citizens from re-entering.

A week before the impeachment vote, Trump should have banned all international travel, forced all businesses to close, sent tens of millions to the unemployment line, confiscated N95 masks and ventilators, and started waving his hands about his head like a lunatic about a crazy disease from the chinks that’s going to kill everybody if he didn’t do it.

All while WHO and Fauci were saying it’s no big deal.

LOL. I don’t need a crystal ball to predict how the media would have reacted and how Mitt Romney would have been drumming up support to remove him from office. Deranged President tries to obstruct the impeachment vote.

Liberals are scum. News at 11. Fauci cares more about trying to damage Trump than helping people. Just like all liberals.

  4. Correction: 8 years not 18 years since the first FOIA for Clinton e-mails. It only seems like its been nearly two decades we’ve all wanted to see Hillary’s secret communications outside of State Department records.

  5. 11 people died out of 3200 old people on the diamond princess. By March 15 the number was 7. Funny how the shut down the country crowd never mentions that fact. Natural morbidity is ignored altogether in the liberal wet dream to tank the economy

  6. “The “Red Dawn String,” Dr. Caneva said, was intended “to provide thoughts, concerns, raise issues, share information across various colleagues responding to Covid-19,””

Did these assholes give any thought to the stocks of PPE? Maybe an ACCURATE CDC test protocol? Or were they just having a circle jerk?

  7. Russian bot, it sure looks like a self-serving narrative of general statements by chronic government types. No doubt Schiff is looking into it. I figure they’re planning to impeach him on “The Botched Covid-19 Plan” in his second term, so they’re retconning the last six months to paint him as incompetent. If they hold the House and win the Senate, he’s going to get railroaded.

  8. “Red Dawn” allright. The depraved commie snakes at the NYT fake news department are putting in lots of OT creating cheap hindsight stories by staring at their own hemorroids.
If DJT had the arrogance to ignore the limits of his authority and run roughshod over the State Governors, those
NYT bastards would have pilloried him as a dictator.

It’s very easy to understand just WHY vigilantism used to be ‘the way of the west’.

Lots cheaper than hiring a lawyer. Who has time to sue a commie f’ing gov
